Last of CTN sketches

It is always fun to draw the waiter model, I think he is hands down the best model in Los Angles. It was a first for the female model in this venue, and it was excellent as well. It was definitely worth the time.

CTN expo !!!!

Deep in O.T. I got a day off and headed over to the CTN Expo. I took some time between the floor and the amazing panels to do a couple of sketches of two amazing models. The theme was a female patron and waiter in Paris, based on the stylish design and music to accompany the session. Here are just a few, more to come later.

Sexy Bunny Session From Dr. Sketchy's

Checked out the Dr. Sketchy's downtown gathering at the new space, You kinda have to adjust to the drawing atmosphere or give up and totally hate it. It's an interesting set up though, I am still on the fence about it.

One of the greatest artist Cornelius Cole III

An animation giant has passed away recently. He was one of the greatest artist my peer group had the fortune of learning under during our time at Cal Arts. He instilled in all of us a drive for life as well as a drive to produce better art than we were producing the previous day. He shared with us his love of art and encouraged us to have our true selves come through when producing our art work.

There are rare times in life to be fortunate enough to come across an individual whom can enrich and inspire one's life, and Corny was all that to me. He left a legacy among us whom had the fortune to study under his tutelage while growing our artistic eye at school.

During some late hours at work. This dude got heated over the fact that a co-worker cut the line to get food. I was laughing the whole rest of the night.

Super 8 felt like a cross between the Goonies, and a different take on E.T. It was impressive to see the amount of character building, along with the reveal. This film was definitely geared towards a younger audience, because none of these ideas presented were new to an older audience. The editing in the shots were exceptional in terms of building an affinity for the young kids in the film. Many people within the crowd laugh out loud at many of the scenes within the film revolving around the children.
The time period is in the same world as Iron Giant, in terms of how to keep the mystery of the creature plausible through out the film. It's good to see a film where the visual effects really compliment the movie as opposed to being the feature of the movie.
